فَسَأَلُوهُ وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «فَمَا بَالُكَ تُعَمِّدُ إِنْ كُنْتَ لَسْتَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ، وَلَا إِيلِيَّا، وَلَا ٱلنَّبِيَّ؟». (AVD)
فَعَادُوا يَسْأَلُونَهُ: «إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَنْتَ الْمَسِيحَ، وَلاَ إِيلِيَّا، وَلاَ النَّبِيَّ، فَلِمَاذَا تُعَمِّدُ إِذَنْ؟» (KEH)
And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet? (KJV)
They asked him, “Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” (ESV)
